Matt Watters, MT, EA, LTC - Previously working under Jerry Levey, CPA, Matt has now established his own accounting firm catering to businesses and personal tax return preparation and filing. He works with you from first contact to the finished product. Matt is also available throughout the year to help with ongoing tax and financial questions. He is a former commerical airline pilot and now flies for fun with his family. Matt also enjoys working around the farm with our many animals.

Melissa Watters - Currently works with Matt on the administrative side of the firm and with bookkeeping for clients. She works closely with Matt for your bookkeeping needs. Your books are the backbone of your business and it's important they are in the best shape to be submitted for your taxes. Melissa can help you get them in correct working order which can save you money in the preparation of your tax return. She also helps to run the family farm.

Honorary Partners - Since we are a boutique farm, you might meet some of our 4-legged friends. We have our 'therapy' cat, Bogie who will love to sit on your lap to take any stresses away. And we have four new additions to the farm - Nigerian Dwarf Goats! Along with our llamas, chickens and the sheep next door- your trip to the country to get your taxes done will be unique! Stop by the local tavern for a burger and your day is complete!
***If you are allergic or don't care for cats, just ask Matt to remove them (there are a few running around) before you come - we are happy to do it - sometimes they can be a bit too distracting. We don't keep cats in the office, but they do have a way of running in. If you bring your dog to the farm, please keep them leashed and in your car until we let you know it's ok for them to come out. Sometimes they get a little too excited with all the fun animals around.***
Our History
The original firm, Jerry Levey CPA, began with general accounting services for business and individuals. This developed into strategic planning for individual wealth maintenance, minimization of tax liabilities for individuals and corporations, auditing and consulting services. We believe in "old school" principles, but we also believe in keeping up with the needs of individuals and businesses in this rapidly changing world. Now under Watters Accounting Inc. we are working on growing a new and modern firm focusing on tax preparation and other accounting needs for individuals and businesses.
Our Credentials
Matt is a graduate from Villanova University School of Law with a Masters In Taxation. His is also a graduate of Pacific University with a Bachelors in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. Matt is an Enrolled Agent (EA) who is enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service in all 50 states. He is also licensed in the State of Oregon as a Licensed Tax Consultant (LTC). He is a member of the Oregon Society of Tax Consultants and National Association of Tax Professionals. Matt is also an Endorsed Local Provider with Dave Ramsey.
Melissa is a graduate from the University of San Diego with a Bachelors in Business Administration. She has worked with numerous companies helping with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online and Sage 100. She specializes in small businesses from the start, as well as businessness who need help to get on a better track. Melissa has experience as an entrepreneur with publishing a newspaper; teaching fraud prevention to individuals and companies; and running a retail boutique specializing in dog supplies and grooming.

Matt also offers international tax preparation and filing for those who live, work or have accounts abroad. Having a background as an international pilot, Matt also is familiar with the unique tax needs of pilots and flight-attendants.
